Guide to Dogs on Eastbourne Beaches

Please note during this time restrictions are in place on certain beaches as follows:

  • Wish Tower to Pier beach - no dogs in summer
  • All other beaches and promenades from Holywell to Harbour Reach - dogs must be held on leads in summer
  • Dogs need not be on leads on the Western and Middle Parades, as long as no inconvenience is caused to anyone else

All year round

Please note there are restrictions all year round in some parks which include:

No dogs: Devonshire Park, picnic area of Sovereign Park and all children's playgrounds

Dogs on leads: Manor Gardens, motcombe Gardens, Lakeside areas (Hampden Park, Princes Park), Howard Square, Wilmington Square and grassed clifftop areas on King Edward's Parade.
