The Sky Club Wheel is set to make a big return to Eastbourne this Easter, operating from Saturday 28 March to Sunday 6 September.
The 36-metre high observation wheel will be open daily throughout the Easter holidays, offering a thrilling gondola ride into the sky with panoramic views across the coast.
Located by the Redoubt beaches on the Eastern Seafront, Passengers will be able to ride in pods of up to six people for the chance to get a unique bird’s eye view across the seafront, from the harbour to the pier and beyond!
Outside of holiday times, the Sky Club will operate on weekends every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 9pm.
Eastbourne Borough Council’s Lead Member for Tourism & Place, Cllr Jenny Williams said, “We’re delighted to welcome back this epic attraction to Eastbourne’s skyline. Generating additional footfall to businesses east of the pier, this spectacular wheel also lights up the seafront’s nighttime economy, providing more reasons to stay.
“A real crowd-pleaser for all generations of visitors, the Sky Club is a unique way to experience the incredible views across our stunning coastline.”
Normally operating at major events across Europe, including the Dutch Grand Prix, the Sky Club is being transported to Eastbourne and construction will begin east of the Redoubt on 23 March.
From Saturday 28 March the Sky Club will open for weekends every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and every day in school holidays, with rides from 10am to 9pm.
To enable the installation of this attraction, the promenade will be temporarily closed between Treasure Island Car Park and the T junction near Splash Point Café from Monday 23 March until Friday 27 March, with a pedestrian diversion in place.
