Weather Update: Beachy Head Marathon 2026
21st October 2026
With Storm Austen forecast to affect the region this weekend, the Beachy Head Marathon organising team is closely monitoring conditions and has comprehensive adverse weather plans in place. These measures will be implemented as required, based on the latest forecasts and prevailing conditions.
Participants may notice some changes to the event, with certain temporary structures being minimised or removed as a precaution. However, the spirit of the marathon remains unchanged, with hundreds of volunteers, charities and supporters coming together to deliver another fantastic event.
All runners will receive a safety briefing on the morning of the event, providing the latest weather information, course updates and key safety messages.
Participants travelling by public transport are advised to check travel information before setting out, as weather-related disruption is possible.
The safety and wellbeing of participants, volunteers, spectators and staff remains our highest priority, and all decisions will be made with public safety at the forefront.”
